One of the vital keys to creating strong, healthy, resilient communities is reconnecting to each other and the sources of our food. As the cost of living increases, more and more people are embracing this, planting backyard veggie gardens and choosing the connectedness of farmers’ markets over supermarkets. This hands-on cooking class will teach you how to transform seasonal garden or local market produce into delicious, nourishing meals for the week. The session will include: - menu planning from available produce - time & money saving tips - how to adapt recipes to suit what’s in season - health benefits of a produce-rich diet During the afternoon, you’ll create a selection of delicious, seasonal dishes and share them together around the table in a sit-down meal.
